The Technologies Used in Electrical Spindle Motor
1. High-speed Bearing Technology
Electric spindle is usually used multi ceramic bearings, with wear-resistant and heat-resistant, several times of life compared with traditional bearing. Sometimes electromagnetic suspend bearing and static hydrostatic bearing are adopted. No contact on inner and external rings, with umlimited life in therory.
2. High-speed Motor Technology
The electric spindle motor is a reasult of integration with electromotor and spindle. The motor rotor is the rotation part of the spindle. The spindle motor can also be regard as a high-speed electromotor in theory. The key technology is dynamic balancing under high speed.
3. Lubrication Technology
The lubrication of electric spindle motor adopts timing quantitative lubrication with oil and gas generally. It can use grease lubricating, but the corresponding speed should be at a discount. The so-called timing is that add oil at interval time. The so-called quantitative is that through a device named quantitative valve, precise control of the quantity of oil lubricants every time. And lubricating with oil and gas is referring to the lubricants is carried by compressed air to inbreathe ceramic bearings. Control of oil quantity is very important. Less would not serve any purpose on lubrication and more would reasult heat in high-speed rotation because of resistance from oil.
4. Cooling Device
In order to disperse heat in runing high-speed electric spindle as soon as possible, usually circulate coolant on outer wall of electric spindle motor. The cooling device is to maintain low temperature of the coolant.
5. Built-in Pulse Code
In order to achieve the ATC as well as rigid screw, spindle motor built-in a pulse encoder in order to achieve the precise angle control and cooperation of feeding.
6. Automatic Tool Change Mechanism
In order to apply in machining center, spindle motors equipped with ATC (auto tool changing) device, including the disc spring, pull cutter, oil tank etc.
7. Installation and Clip Mode of High-Speed Tool Cutter
Widely known BT, ISO tool cutter has been proved not suitable for high-speed processing in practice. Under these circumstances, there have been HSK, SKI, and other high-speed cutting tools.
8. High-frequency Conversion Device
To achieve the speed of spindle motor to tens of thousands or even 10 million rotation per minute, a high-frequency conversion device must be used to drive the built-in high-speed electric spindle motor. The frequency converter output should reach thousands of Hertz.
